Hi,
Years ago we used to live in the old village itself on Calle la Virgen. Of the 2 urbanisations we were informed that part of one had been built too close to the Cemetery and.those houses could not be sold and that when the owners died the properties reverted to The Council. Of course this was years ago.
YOU MUST GET A TOTALLY HONEST SOLICITOR so may I mention Amanda Oakley of OLO Solicitors.of Zurgena.
On a purely personal note we left Albanchez as too cold in Winter, too remote, few facilities, problems with utilities, esp. Water & the cliche nature of the incomers. The locals weren't too bad.
Remember this is purely a personal observation/s based on.some years ago. We would never have returned although years later we were offered.our old property at 1/2 price.

Hi,
May I add to Kevin's. ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. Do you think all those illegal builds would have been sold without collusion. Others will state that illegality is less widespread now but there is an obvious risk of conflict of interest if things go bad.
Never go with a Solicitor recommended by Estate Agent.

I endorse what has been posted but still very much enjoy my villa and find the place different now as most of those friends we knew when we bought our place 18 years ago have now gone. I would recommend renting a villa for say first year to appreciate Albanchez and the locals. Rentals could be as little as 300-400 per month.
Best regards to Bob and Sandra, nice to hear from you
regards
David
