We have some land in Limaria (Arboleas).  We are looking for builders to create a new build from start to finish.  Can anyone recommend any builders for us to contact.

First thing you need to do is to contact the town hall to establish

whether the land is urban or rustic. If it is rustic you probably

would not be able to build on it.But check with the town hall they

Will give you the answer.

Thank you for the info but we bought the land in 2004 and established at that time that it was legal.  We did have a building licence then but because we haven't done anything about it since, the licence has run out but I'm sure we can renew it when we visit the land in January.

Hello again.

A lot of things have changed since 2004 you need to contact the

Town Hall as soon as you can I have building licences for my land

Which were cancelled by the government sometime around 2008.

I think Liberia comes under the town hall at Arboleas, they have

English speaking staff there who could help you if you give them

a ring.

Thank you for your good advice.  Shouldn't be a problem though, all the houses around our land have been built for years, ours is the only plot that has not been built on.  Will visit the Town Hall when we are next in the area, also our lawyer.
