Hi

I'm considering having a heating system installed to my inground pool.

I just wondered if anyone could recommend any company / person who does this locally.

I would also be interested in hearing about anyone's recommendation for or experience (good or bad) with any particular type of system. Installation v running costs / ease of maintenance and so on.

Thanks very much

Hi, try contacting Colin at "Cool Solutions", or one of the guys at WS Cover pools, theres another company advertises in the free weekly papers.

Partner had one installed last year but we were unfortunate getting it up and running in time to fully benefit, you need to run pool heaters during the summer when the water and ground temps are highest then maintain the temps with the heater, we did a test run from 12 midnite a month or so ago till 1pm and got the pool from around 23 degrees up to 30 !!, cushy temps, would have to do some research into how big a hit there was on the leccy bill but same as with everything else you get what you pay for as n when.

You'll enjoy earlier and later  pool "seasons" than municipal pools.

You'll most likely pay around €2000 for a heater, partners pool is an 8m x 4m and to get max heat retention you'll be recommended to get a decent pool cover with a roller.
