at our last property we had a 8 x 4m private pool, it was not warm and we looked at various ways of heating the pool. you can use solar powered units with a heated pump but it was approx 2-3 thousand euros for supply and installation

BUT it was approx 200.00 euros a month extra for the electric for some reason as the pump must be on at all times so it is very bad value and we did not proceed with it, we looked at pool covers now you get winter pool covers and that is the cheapest option approx 400.00 euros but is normally used for lock up and leaves or to cover your pool ( which is blue in colour and secured at the concrete lip level of your pool) in the short winter months  BUT you can get a summer cover ( also called a solar cover) which is clear but also coloured blue and sits directly on the pool water and raises the heat up to 10-12 degrees and you can use your pool most days of the year even in winter we purchased ours from Indapool in Albox they come and measure it as it has to be very exact to fit correctly the cost was about 865.00 euros and worth every penny

i hope this helps
