We have a 10% deposit paid over 2 months for a property in Los Simones (house is 50 years old)

Our Solicitor is waiting for Vendors solicitor to get a certificate from Town Hall to say no outstanding problems.

Today we were told by our solicitor that there is an ongoing Political problem with staff not issuing any paperwork at the moment, and that this could be a problem for weeks or months.

Can anybody shed any light on what is going on at the Town Hall and the problem?

Thanks in anticipation

Hi, we've heard of problems wherein paperwork that is required to be signed by a mayor or one particular person who is the only person that can and will sign a particular piece of paperwork gone missing or off sick or any number of other reasons but never a "political" issue, unless it's tied to this Catalan independance issue.

Albox Town Hall appears to be in a strange situation - Mayor has sacked Assistant Mayor, Treasurer, and 1 other. Resulting in 7 Councilors resigning. Leaving Mayor to do work single handed - which will be very slow for outgoing paperwork.

..Only in Spain! grrrrr
