Hi, theres a large hotel on the roundabout, on/off ramp opposite the road to Albox, not sure of any other hotels especially in the Huercal Overa area.
I've seen some local ads for/by Air b n b places in Huercal Overa itself but again cant vouch for them.
Dont know that you'd be able to get a very short term let anywheres but Vosses in Huercal Overa might be able to help.
Zurgena and close by La Foquia are blink and miss places, tho Zurgena might be the nicer/bigger village/town, in La Foquia theres an English fish n chip shop, some other restaurants nearby as well that may be able to help and in the high street of L,F theres CAT services who again may be able to help.
Good luck both finding a base and finding a property.

Hi again, we are just as you come into Urcal from the A7 motorway side, coming north from Almeria your about an hour and 5 minutes to the Urcal/Las Norias off ramp, go left, keep on the las labores till you see a large orangey house/villa, two tall street lights and some mail boxes thats the start of the village, theres villas left and right, one of the villas for sale is to the right, top of the hill go left to the top of the road, its on the right hand side on the corner, the other that I've seen is further into the village, you'll see a handwritten sign saying Museo, museum, basically an agricultural implement museum, go left down there maybe a hundred hundred and fifty yards or so on the left is the other villa for sale, both with pools, both with Vosses agents in Huercal Overa.
To my knowledge there's either two maybe three homes sold here in the last few months, maybe the secrets out who knows lol, everyones friendly and chatty, there was a jamming session at the bar last wednesday which was fun and theres darts every thursday, bar is open 5 days a week closed mondays, dont know about sunday.

Hi Jacquie, the hotel Chevyrecycler referred to off the roundabout is the Hotel Overa, at junction 547 on the A7/E15. Friends stayed there and said it was very nice. There is also Hostel Meson Arboleas just off the A334 Albox/Baza road. We live in Los Menas about 1km from the Hotel Overa, small Spanish village, only about a dozen English live here but we love it. Have lived here 3 years now and very glad we chose it, the Spanish people are really friendly, even more so now we take part in various aspects of village life.
If you fancy meeting up for a drink when you come over, send us a PM and I will send you my contact details.
Best wishes,
Tony and Karen.

Hi, if youre having problems flying into and out of Almeria, for instance jet2 dont fly there in or out after October 31st try Murcia, the journey time is slightly longer at around 90 minutes via Rm 2 and A7/E15 and at a stretch Alicante at 2 hours but Ali is a straight shot, havent done it myself yet but will be doing at the end of the year.
Partner is flying out of Murcia on a one way, booked it without problems. Couldve got a return/round trip also without any probs.
Problems are now arising because of the Ryanair fiasco and the collapse of Monarch and people booking up flights which inevitably drives up prices.
Where are you flying to/from in the UK ?
