Travel insurance

FCO website stated only essential travel so surely that answers your question.

Hopefully your travel is essential otherwise unsure why you are planning to still risk it.

Always a personnel choice but surely not being to get travel insurance is a big red flag saying Do Not Go on that trip to Albox.

I believe you’ll have to get travel insurance in UK - which will be invalid anyway as FCO are saying essential travel only. I don’t believe you can buy travel insurance in Spain, to cover your travels in Spain, but you could certainly buy health insurance, but it’s likely to be very expensive.

Normally if you pay for your ticket etc with a credit card, Visa / MasterCard automatically give you Travel Insurance ... but again, may be invalidated by FCO advice

We have an annual travel insurance policy which we purchased through a Spanish insurance company. We are not residents here. This was the only policy we could get to cover us if we took any holidays while we were at our house here in Spain. No UK company would cover us. We used Liberty Seguros in Albox

We are not spanish residents and we have travel insurance through a Spanish company which will cover us if we take any trips whilst here. 

Are you still covered if you don’t take trips anywhere? i.e. if you stay wherever you are holidaying? I can certainly see travel insurance purchased in Spain will cover you whilst traveling around Spain ....

We bought it through Liberty Seguros while still in the UK to cover us travelling between here and the UK and for any holidays we take whilst here or anywhere else in Europe. We basically wanted cover getting to and from our house here and any holidays we took. We don’t need to be covered whilst at home here. I did check with them about single trip holiday insurance coming for the UK to holiday here and they will give you cover but you have to take it out 28 days before your trip
