Hi

I am planning to come and retire in this area  in the next 12 months by January 2022.
So any help with Real Estate Agents dealing / specialising  with this area would be appreciated.

Thank you

Ashley

Hi Ashley, we are currently looking for a property in the Albox area and have been really impressed by Andrea from Dream Homes Almeria based in Arboleas. She's very informative and helpful and absolutely no sales pitch. She also was up front about a property we liked that wasn't fully legal - something to be very wary about in these parts. We've also had very good help from Tim at Coles of Andalusia. His approach is very similar to that of Angela and we felt very comfortable dealing with him. I feel I must add that other agents have also been helpful but these two stand out. Best of luck in your search.

Hi Ashley, Holmes for Homes in arboleas is another good agent.  There are loads in Albox such as Spanish Property Choice and a couple that I won't name but be very wary of (English ones) in Albox.  Just be aware that there are a lot of illegal properties in Spain and certainly in this area and if you ask questions you may not get a truthful answer from the agent so ask to see the proof.  Happy hunting and hope you find the property you want.

Hey Ashley. I'm in the same boat...I've been trying to sell my home which is already in Spain but on Mallorca for over 2 years.. and that's not even the average selling time here....Not easy here that's for sure.

Adding my 2 penny worth to the mix..

I've been very very impressed with ALL  the staff at Almeria Homes in Albox and in their agent Katia in particular... V Good Service. It was clear also their clients also like Katia... She has a good approach and Katia has been with me at every drama turn... (we thought we had sold our Mallorca Property twice and its fallen through twice)

Almeria Homes, keeps us well informed as to what properties are available and I'd say these guys are one of the most...Switched on agencies in Albox.

Tim at Coles is also very good...We viewed a property or two with him... I liked his laid back approach, yet its clear he's very clued up on all the things you need to know about when buying in Spain. I also saw how the "clients" at Coles reacted they clearly liked him...says a lot.

The one point I'd add is this...You must appoint a good lawyer.. Pref one in the area you wish too buy... But the areas around Albox are well known to most local Lawyers... Do some homework and research a good one... I'm confident all the agents have a list of their recommendations but doesn't help to do your own as well ...Who knows, they may have the same person on their recommended List. Just do some homework. and ask for help in this chat room its been a big help to me...

I've made 4 or 5 trips over and I've visited many agents... these two stood out...to me...I'm confident other people have their favourites

Good Luck and who knows... one day we may sit and enjoy a coffee and compare notes in person.

All very good suggestions here.

If you're interested in rural homes or caves (it's a thing...) then Spanish Inland Properties are highly recommended.

Sean and his team don't do nonsense, he'll rather lose money on not making a sale then help you buy something you'll regret.

Maybe not for everyone but what they do, they do very well
