We had to buy Spanish Health Insurance for our Residencia, my wife is under 60, so yes is the answer... It's blooming expensive. We used ASSA in Vera.

Hi Sharon,

90 euros, is this per month? Does it include any pre existing medical conditions?

TIA,

Gilly

Hi  Gilly

It is per month and it's very good but they generally don't cover ore existing conditions.

It depends on the condition I think .We did it thro Santander bank and they will explain the whole policy to you .

Thanks Sharon, we’re moving out in 2 weeks and just trying to get the last little bits in place.

Kind Regards,

Gilly

I have been with Sanitas for years and then changed to Adislas as it was a little cheaper than Sanitas and gave better cover than both Asisa and ASSA.  I regret changing now as Sanitas did give much superior customer service, and in English too if required.  Sanitas was taken over by BUPA some years ago.  I'm nearing 70 and pay about 110 per month. I know someone who had ASSA and they don't cover blood tests which I think is really bad as it's a routine part of a medical check-up.  Sanitas and Adeslas include cover for a colonoscopy, but not Asisa and I don't know whether ASSA do.

Hello Sharon,

We’re moving to Llanos Del Peral. Can’t come soon enough, especially with the weather we’re having at the moment, I’ve even had to put the CH on 😳😭😭
