Hi inam currently in process of applying for my irish passport as i want to move to.Spain and am.really interested in Cave living&have looked at lots of properties&some are fab. I want to live near amenities&have a quieter slower way of life. Does anyone on here live in a cave OR knows someone who does for some insight. I have done a bit of research and am aware some cave houses have all the facilities i would need(electric, internet, mains water&some have central heating). I appreciate cave living isnt everyones "cup of tea" but i keep being drawn to them

We dont live in one but know someone who does. They love it because it is cool in the summer but holds it heat in the winter so they need virtually no heating.  They are not desperately common in the Albox area though. Try a search in the Baza area and you will find a better selection.

Hi

I viewed a house in Cuevas de Almanzora that had 2 cave rooms, it was great, the only reason I did not go for it was the location was not particularly good for a woman living alone...

I just thought I would advise that there are some cave/semi-cave houses in that area.  It's also closer to a beach (San Juan, Palomares, Vera) if that's your thing.

Hi Trish

Thank you for your reply. I too am a woman moving alone so whilst i like the cave houses i have to be realistic about where i live as in not too remote. Its difficult as its a life changing move but im sure the right area/house is out there as cant be any worse than the UK..Where have you settled?😁
