We dont live in one but know someone who does. They love it because it is cool in the summer but holds it heat in the winter so they need virtually no heating.  They are not desperately common in the Albox area though. Try a search in the Baza area and you will find a better selection.

...s someone who does for some insight. I have done a bit of research and am aware some cave houses have all the facilities i would need(electric, internet, mains water&some have central heating). I appreciate cave living isnt everyones "cup of tea" but i keep being drawn to them

I just thought I would advise that there are some cave/semi-cave houses in that area.  It's also closer to a beach (San Juan, Palomares, Vera) if that's your thing.
