Hi. I would like options on Albox town please?
How easy is the journey from the airport to Albox town/ transfers/ public transport etc. Although I drive, I do not have experience driving in Spain.
Thanks in advance.

Extremely limited options if you don't want to drive. No public transport to speak of. So it's a very expensive taxi ride to Albox and taxi's to get round. There's a company doing a shuttle service, Exclusive Airport Shuttles I think, but they only do 2 runs a day and if your flight doesn't fit then they are no good to you. Plus you'll need a taxi from one of the drop off points to get to and around Albox.
Really your only realistic option is a hire car. Driving in Spain is easy. All the main roads are good and there isn't anywhere near the traffic you get in the UK. Just remember to drive on the "other" side of the road, don't expect the locals to use indicators and you'll be fine.
Which airport? Shuttle bus as others have said, but car is much eas

Albox is a lovely town but you definitely need a car unless you live in the town.
As someone else has mentioned, public transport is almost non existent but check out Alsa.com as they do run to/from Albox maybe once each way, more go from Huercal Overa. Drive from Albox is very easy, great roads to either Almeria or Murcia Airports taking about 75 to 90 minutes. They are building a new train track so will be able to get a train from Lorca or Vera area down to Almeria when it is completed, bit of a way to go yet! As others have mentioned, there are shuttle services. I've also done the bus ride from Baza to Malaga airport (Alsa) which was cheap and easy but think Alsa lost contract at Baza bus station however I suspect the company taking over does same/similar routes. Car would be best option though and airport parking is cheap out here.

Yes. From Alacante or Murcia Almeria. Just one straight road A7 E15 Altovia. (Motorway). Then take A334 to Albox..
Almeria airport to Albox approx. 1.5 hrs, as the crow flies and from Murcia about the same , more or less, however from Alicante about 3 hrs.
There is no probs driving over here as the motorway are 90%clear, nowhere near as bad as UK.
Good luck and happy motyoring

3 hours from Alicante? Do you stop for an hour on the way down? Takes me 1 hour 50 minutes door to door and that’s keeping to the speed limits.

Absolutely, also Almeria airport 1 hour 15 minutes. A neighbour came from Benidorm to here in 2 hours 30 minutes.

Reckon your speedo is faulty, only takes me 1 hour 49 minutes from the kitchen then out the door to the door :)
