I am hopefully moving to the albox area before the end of december can you apply for a NIE card if you dont have a property in spain or a rental from the uk ? Also would I work if we took a rental on in November and my husband came over to start with residency or do we all have to be in spain ? Any ideas ? Thankyou

There is no requirement to own property in Spain to obtain Residencia; you have to be physically present in Spain to apply for Residencia, but if your husband comes across before you and obtains Residencia prior to 31/12, you should be able to apply for Residencia as the dependent of an EU Resident when you arrive.
