If i decide to drive my car over to spain when i move would i not be charged import charges etc??
Also would i have to have it changed to LHD and lights modified??. Seems strange you can drive around Europe without modyfying your car. All seems bit confusing. I know they are still in talks about being able to.just swap driving licence over which would be great as dont want to do driving test etc
Import tax possibly depending on make, model, year when you matriculate it. Unless you have one of those cars that has a switch then you will have to change the headlights for LHD ones and from memory rear fogs ok if a pair or dead centre but if only one corner then it will be the wrong corner (probably). So only mods are the lights!

If your headlights are flat beam you are ok and don’t have to change your head lights contact your dealer.

Head lights on full beam used to go right or left depending on the country the car was from but a lot of manufacturers are now making them so they just go Down now, instead of left or right

It does not mean if you don’t drive at night it does not apply to you, your car as to be legal if you are just a visitor from the UK you must have deflectors on your car, if you are permanently in Spain the car must be legal for the roads in Spain lol”👮♀️

Hi, if you contact car-registrations-spain based in Los Alcazares they will give you all the information you need, they are on Facebook. They also remanufacture your headlights/rear lights to ITV standard at a fraction of the cost of replacements.
Took my Volvo C70 convertible in at 1000, all done and dusted by 1400 and they are an English company.
