Hi.

We are currently in the process of purchasing a property in Albox and will be flying into Murcia Airport, for a few days, in the next couple of weeks.  Can anyone recommend car hire from the airport or any to avoid!  Many thanks.

Hi,

Al Andalus.car hire seems to have various recommendations whilst you have probably seen all the adverse publicity about Goldcar (Which et al ). This is a.subsidiary of Europcar I believe. Our son had money taken from.CC as apparently have hundreds of others.

Al Andalus is on Google Search.

Have a safe & pleasant trip.

That’s brilliant.  I’ll look them up on Google.  I had heard bad things about Goldcar, so will certainly steer clear. Thank you so much.

I always use Centauro. They are about one mile off airport but their yellow mini bus picks up every 10-15 minutes. Not had any problems. Probably had about 10 trips so far, to start with I took their top insurance so not to have any worries but now I have an annual insurance policy in the UK which covers all excesses and take Centauro's very basic cover. It's much cheaper but they take a deposit of £1200 on your credit card. This amount has never actually been taken, it's just a hold of funds in case there is a claim.

Regards

Grant

Like Grant, we also always Centauro from Murcia International and before that at San Javier. We still use the Premium plan which is more expensive even though we also have our own policy from https://www.insurance4carhire.com for when we hire out of Almeria with Avis - though mostly it's because I detest having money blocked off our cards. I think overall we've used Centauro about 20 times and always been very happy.

Hi we always use Centureo just hire a small fiesta costs us usually around 120 pounds for a week and they take a deposit of 64 pounds, I always book through my travel agent Hays and she always comes back saying we have to put 300 euros up front for deposit but this never happens. We have booked again for August find them really good.
