We’re looking to buy a television when we come over in a few weeks what’s the best way around getting UK TV to start with.

Thanks

Celine

Celine hi. We live in next village, LA Alfoquia and we use IPTV.  This service is provided by a chap called Richard Hammond. We just get our TV from him.  We have all stations that sky and BT have.   This IPTV works via internet and is every bit as good as sky.

We have his number if you require it.

Regards.   mary

Hi,

As a complete technophobe does the Abdroid.box fit directly to the TV? Does  it engage where we currently have the Powerstick inserted for Kodi & Netflix?

What about buffering????

Thanks,

Bob and Sandra

The android box is connected to the TV by HDMI cable. Buffering has very little to do with the box as long as you get a quad core, it is more to do with your internet provider. Our internet is quite good but if you are trying to watch a HD channel and only have 2 or 3 meg internet then you will get buffering. We also have a small Acer netbook that we connect to the TV for catch up TV and use Smart DNS proxy which makes your box appear to be in whichever countries program you are trying to watch. Costs around $49 for 2 years and you also get a VPN.

Hope this helps,

Paul.

we have chosen to go with an IPTV streaming service for which there is a monthly charge, we bought a MAG box and then pay for our streaming through Android Man, you can find him online or he has an office in Albox near the Post Office.

we find the service to be pretty reliable, unlike others we had tried in the early months of our stay in Spain.

of course this means you have to have decent internet also. we use Rednet.

Hi Mary,

If you don't mind me asking how much is the IPTV Subscription per month?

We also have our internet via Rednet. If you have a problem you ring Georgia and she usually sorts it fairly quickly. Don't know if this is true or not but have been told it by a couple of people, if you get your box from the android man it is locked to his system so if you want to change to someone else you will probably have to buy another box. Not sure but I don't think you can add extra apps yourself, think you may have to go through him.

We run IPTV via a couple of apps and get virtually all Sky programs, sports channels, etc.Just be aware that sometimes these IPTV suppliers come and go so be wary about paying for a yearly contract, plus if the one you go with turns out to not be very good you can be locked into that contract and probably won't get any money back.

Good luck with whichever system you choose,

Paul.

Celine its 40 for 3 months, 70 euro for 6 and 120 euro for 12.  We have found Richard Hammond a very nice chap to deal with.   He has a new system coming out next week.  You can get a 24 hour trial to decide.    We would suggest you get an android box for 38 euro on amazon.es and Richard will do the rest.    Come back to me if u have any further queries.   We are delighted with our system but the new system is even better.  You can record 2 channels whilst you watch one and you can run a second box in your bedroom or kitchen on the WiFi if u wish.   Just tell Richard Tom recommended you.

Come back to us if u have any bother.

Mary

So you purchase internet from.one provider, then purchase an Android Box then but IPTV,?

Is that correct?
