Hi all,
If renting for 6 months do we need NIE number and bank account
Hi,
Legally you will need NIE, Bank Acct & Residencia, the latter if here for more than 3 months.
Have to say that from my knowledge & experience many tend to ignore the rules as they do about UK plated vehicles & Insurance.
Best Wishes,

With regards Bank, Sabadell offer an Expansion Premium account which is fee-free. I’ve had one since December 2014 and have never paid fees on it (nor was I charged a fee for my bank cards)
And yes, Bob is quite correct - here longer than 3 months and Residencia is required. Your UK passport allows you to reside for up to 3 months. Many do ignore this requirement, however with Brexit looming, there’s no telling what will happen.

Usually when we arrive at Murcia they don't even scan the passport but just look vaguely at it and nod you through. That could well change after Brexit and they might start being tougher on in & out dates.

Hi Dario
I have had an account with Sabadell for well over 10 years but pay a fixed monthly charge for all my transactions. So I am very interested in the Expansion Premium account that you have with them
Do you have to be a resident/pay so much into the account each month/have a minimum balance ?
I look forward to receiving more details from you
Regards
Richard

Hi Richard - no, don’t have to be a resident. The Expansion Premium account is described as a “salary” account, but when I opened it in 2014, before I moved here, I moved a sum of money in and left it - they were happy with that.

Thanks Dario
