What to pack
Hi, just wondering what clothes to pack for a 2 day viewing trip to Albox and surrounding area. I've never been to Almeria, and wondered what the weather is like next week 16th, 17th and 18th November. Thanks Pauline & Jim

Currently pleasant and mild during day with lots of sun but chilly first thing in morning and definitely late evening and overnight. We are already layering.
You may not notice it so much.
Try one of the online weather www's especially one that gives a 14day forecast.
The further inland the colder it becomes in winter. Our cottage in Puerto Lumbreras will be at least 10degrees colder than our Mojacar apartment. Friends needed to sell up in Oria because they couldn't afford the winter fuel bill.
You are being incredibly sensible although we think Feb is the coldest month.
Safe journey,
Bob and Sandra

Viewed weather websites, yahoo, BBC, google and holiday weather.com. All were different. I didn't know inland was colder though, thank you for info. Regards Pauline & Jim

Inland is colder because it's mountainous thats all.
I think lastvwinter there was snow for the first time in goodness knows how long.
Viewing trips where youre in and out of warm cars, villas with log burners or gas fires you might find youre putting sweaters on then taking them off lol, we've only been here since late march so havent done a winter yet, general advice might mean wear what youre wearing in the UK right now for night times.
As Bob says it's nice and sunny/warm from around 10 am till maybe 5 or 6 pm when it starts getting cold.
Pack a onesie if you have one, where are you staying during youre viewing trip and what areas are you looking at ?

Hi
We are staying at Casa Olivos in Albox. We are viewing 1 property just outside Albox, 1 in Taberno, and 2 apartments in Palomares. We have never been to Almeria, so it's all a bit new to us.

Hi, not sure exactly where Casa Olivos is.
Albox gets good and bad ratings, Palomares is quite a ways down from Albox on the coast and Taberno is about 24 kms from Huercal Overa, good nice road surface but can be a bit remote.
Friends have just moved their stuff into a lovely villa they fell in love with at 1st viewing courtesy of Voss homes, bit remote for me but as above they love the villa and rightly so.
Taberno is a nice small village with everything you might need.
Partner and myself live in Urcal, recently shown on A place in the Sun, lovely smallish village but with school, doctors, bar/restaurant/mini supermarket, lovely peaceful place with great neighbours and friends. Spanish lessons can be had for free in Huercal Overa as well as at the local bar in los norias on a wednesday, more informal, Isabel is very patient and speaks english too.,
Best of luck with youre search, pop in to the bar in Urcal, most days there's a bunch of friendly locals who'll be only too happy to give advice.

think about Huercal-Overa! Voss Homes is the big estate agent in these parts. Chevyrecycler can no doubt sing you the praises of our village of Urcal...
cheers
