2018 we moved from Valencia having sold our house, which we purchased in 2002 and lived in permanently since 2009. The house we have purchased in Almeria cost less than the proceeds of our previous house - what tax should we have to pay? Can we claim money spent on improvements? We are both 74.

Many thanks

Janette

You are best speaking to a lawyer about that. Esther and Maria at Mundi Abogados (who handle our Spanish tax and I wish they dealt with our British tax) are very good, English-speaking and totally ethical. http://mundiabogados.com/
