We will shortly be completing on our house purchase in Albox and are looking for building and contents insurance. Can anyone recommend an insurer or one to avoid! Many thanks.

Hi,

We have both properties with Ged of Liberty Seguros. This is in Mojacar but originally we were with the Albox branch although prefer Ged to Ben. Just a personal thing. Not needed to claim but communication is excellent.

Was with Abbeygate years ago and were brilliant with a huge claim but then imposed conditions we couldn't meet. Also found the forms exhausting.

There is Mafre as stated.

Stay away from Allianz. We found they had been ripping us off for years & still owe us 1600€ for a claim post inundation. Used a ruse to avoid paying. Would never recommend.

Have some concerns about Linea Directa but fine for motor insurance.

You need to inform Company of your level of occupancy and if renting.

Hope all goes well,

Bob and Sandra

We're with Liberty Seguros via Maxine Morgan who operates out of Forget-Me-Not on the Las Buganvillas roundabout between Garrucha and Vera. Everything straightforward and all in English. But we've never thad to make a claim so I don't know how well that side of it would go if we did have to. http://maxinemorganinsurance.com/
