Hi, Palomares is a perfect destination for a holiday home. In the village are bars, restaurants, supermarkets, hairdressers, banks, all within walking distance so a car isn’t necessary but a bonus. There is a small expat community who are very

welcoming and friendly as well as being helpful. The local beach is a ten minute walk away and the climate is perfect. Like most other Spanish villages it has its fair share of holiday events with the annual fiesta being one of the best I’ve attended. There is a community centre where a number of different courses are available including language classes which I believe are free of charge. Palomares also offers some of the cheapest property prices on the coast. Hope this information is of help. If you’ve any questions please message me.

I know the complex and from what I know it seems a pretty balanced place with a mix of expats and Spanish holiday homes. It looks well maintained and is within walking distance of the main square and all amenities. The square has live music free of charge most Saturdays and is the focal point of the village. Palomares is perfect really it has it’s Spanish identity with a mix of brits, Dutch and a few Germans blended in. I first visited 11 years ago and bought just outside the village the same weekend. Property in the area is crazily cheap in comparison to vera playa and Garrucha and it’s is even cheaper just outside of the village but always always haggle. Cash speaks volumes as most Spaniards like the little brown envelope! Sorry can’t be more help about the complex but I can say that nearly every community in the village are welcoming. Hope it helps your decision.

I’m currently in uk too. I had a flight booked for 21st March reluctantly but thankfully I cancelled last minute as lockdown there is more severe than here. Yes keep in touch by all means. My friends have an apartment In the complex but I can’t upload it as the files too big. All the best.

Baz3009 beware the little brown envelope now as the taxman in Spain has got there spys everywhere and they will clobber the buyer and the seller with big fines if they find you've underpaid for a property on paper.
