Hi Dias

I'll tell you what I know,

Our solicitor was Angela Morales based in Mojaca, she speaks good English

I might be easier to get a mortgage, depend on your mortgage supplier

Yes there will be further charges, but the initial cost of the apartment far outways the other costs, see previous posts from teacher 1234.

We used Spanish property expert as our agent.

Regards

Nigel

Thank you very much Dave.

I will start the process. I saw the property in the Idealista website.

Hi all.

Just seen the 2 beds advertised for £27950, I am very interested. I have sent a request for more details and would like to come out to view.

Realistically how much am I looking at for the final price.

Also has anybody on here got a Spanish mortgage?

Does anybody know what exactly is still available, I would preferably like a 2nd floor with rooftop?

Planning on coming in the next few weeks.

Any info would be very much appreciated.

hi sharon

we are just back from illar after a short visit, not sure how many are left...the apartments are bare...no kitchen..no inserts in wardrobes...no light fittings..and shower base only ,no shower screen ...we got all fitted with washing machine /cooker .we got price for air con  2500 euro .there is a lovely community there ...as karen says in earlier post mixed nationalty...unfourntently we missed karen on our visit. the pool is not sorted and as far as we know is not going to be sorted as we heard spanish residents do not want it sorted...i put photo up of pool as it is now in earlier post..the photos used off pool are of community pool in the village which is 5 mins walk. the apartments do come with parking space and storage room....we only found our storage room on this visit and as we got no key we have to get locksmith to open and insert new lock ..we also had a prob finding parking spot as numbers dont corrospond with apartment door numbers....we found that as well and also discovered some non resident was using our parking space ...and have requested this car removed..we got wifi installed and was 70 euro installiation and 19 euro a month...

i hope this info is off some help to you

Hi

Thank you for your response, this is really helpful. We are interested in the rooftop apartment 2 bed.

We are told 33000 euros, is there room for negotiation?

The agent is getting back to us but is traveling at the moment?
we are hoping to come out soon to view.
is there anybody we need to contact or just the agent?

Hi Sharon

No they won’t negotiate as it’s bank selling they only want asking price .is it Danny you were dealing with ..i just missed him at weekend i know he is returning home  for a few days .we allowed for 14%on asking price ..as there are hidden costs ...and then the cost of equipping out ..we were let down buy ikea delivery but we made contact with some lovely people who helped us wit taking delivery of furniture when we were home in Ireland...everyone is very helpful there ..and the village is very friendly and there is always something going on ..hard to be fooled by it’s quite look during day ..always something happening there ...Karen is extremely helpful as she knows everyone as she has lived there for a long time ..our next visit is April we getting ferry from Rosslare Ireland to Bilbao Spain stopping overnight in Madrid and then to Illar ...

Best of luck with viewing

Hi

Thank you for your response.

We should get a watsap group for residents and people buying?

Yes it was Danny we spoke to. We are arranging a viewing with him.
we could be neighbours?

How long does a cash sale take usually.
is there anything I need to do or put in place before I travel out there?

Hi Sharon

We went see February 2019...and went back and paid deposit in March and then the fun stared as the bank were asking unbelievable questions...and looking for paperwork that we had already submitted..so it took about 4 months from paying deposit.

Make sure you have ur nie number sorted before you decide to go ahead ..as you can’t do anything without this .we got our nie number from Spanish embassy in Dublin at minimum cost  €9.60...but i have heard of some Solictors in Spain charging €100/150 ..you need this nie number to purchase property in Spain ..
